Since 1893, Café Savoy has been a Prague institution, surviving wars and regime changes to remain one of the city’s most beloved dining spots. This is authentic Czech cuisine in a stunning Art Nouveau setting, not a tourist trap.

What We Ordered & Full Review

Confit Duck Leg with Red Cabbage & Bread Dumplings ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The absolute highlight. Perfectly crispy skin, tender meat falling off the bone, and flawlessly executed confit preparation. The sweet-and-sour red cabbage balanced the richness, while traditional Czech bread dumplings (knedlíky) soaked up every bit of sauce. One of our best meals in Central Europe—order this.

Croissant Gianduia ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Buttery, flaky croissant filled with thick, silky chocolate-hazelnut cream. The Gianduia paste is generously layered inside, not skimpy at all. Not overly sweet, properly laminated layers, significantly better than typical tourist café pastries.
